The people over at HarperCollins recently got in touch saying they recently released dictionaries for the Ultralingua application on the Android platform – sorry iOS users out there!
As somebody who had been growing frustrated with the inflexibility of Google Translate and the bulkyness of having several free, lesser good dictionaries for different languages, this offer seemed to come at a perfect time.

The previous part ended with me learning a valuable lesson in language learning, and specifically in Esperanto. It was the first day of the course and I was excited to go and meet up with other new learners, but also excited about exploring the city of Berlin as I had only been here once before, and that was during the polyglot gathering, where I did not have time for sightseeing.

The last post wrapped up at the end of Thursday, with me going back from my day around Berlin. Not much happened and as I had been using a lot of resources, going to bed early-ish was probably a good idea to save some energy for the next few days.
This is my trip report of the Esperanto course that was hosted by Judith Meyer and Chuck Smith in Berlin. In this first part you can read about why I got into learning Esperanto, as well as what I was doing before the trip to prepare to be immersed in an Esperanto environment for a week.
Mindset is a huge factor in successfully learning languages. If you develop a bad mindset, then success is almost never going to happen. In this post today I'm explaining the difference between a good and a bad mindset and my experience with some of the common mindset pitfalls I have encountered. Enjoy!
