Our priority is the learner. Always.

Our mission is to provide comparisons and recommendations for foreign language learners, so they do not waste any unncessary time on poor learning products and overpriced solutions.

So, how do we make money? Our partners compensate us, at no additional cost to the learner. This can influence the positioning of certain elements on Actual Fluency, but it never influences our recommendations, and reviews which are based on years of experience in the field. We do not accept payment in exchange for favourable reviews, or paid link placements. Here is a list of our partners.

AFP 149 – Gabriel Gelman: How to become a language hero

(Last Updated On: April 27, 2020)

In this episode Gabriel Gelman from Sprachheld.de comes on the show to talk about learning languages at home and abroad.

Gabriel Gelman is the founder of Sprachheld, a popular language learning website for Germans learning foreign languages (and―as an added bonus―non-Germans learning German as a foreign language). On the site, Gabriel shares useful language learning tips and tools, inspirational interviews with polyglots and linguists, and a dialogue-based Spanish course (with other languages slated for production in the future).

What I really like about Gabriel is that he's producing materials for language learners in a language other than English.

Don't get me wrong, English is great for communicating across the globe – but it's a nice change of pace to see another language used as the medium.
