If you are weighing up where to learn French, it helps to know what a school actually teaches and who teaches it.
La Forêt French Class runs online and in person French courses out of Ahmedabad, with certified tutors rather than an app.
This piece covers the courses, the exam tracks, the teaching approach and the results students report.
What is La Forêt French Class?
La Forêt has been running since 2017. Classes are led by trained tutors in live, hybrid and self paced formats.
The intake is broad: school students taking ICSE, CBSE or IGCSE French, professionals preparing for a Canadian visa exam, and adults starting from zero.
Courses and levels
The school covers absolute beginner through to advanced, and the tracks split three ways.
- TEF and TCF preparation, both recognised for Canadian immigration
- DELF certification from A1 to B2
- A French for Children programme built on songs and films rather than grammar drills, aligned to IGCSE, ICSE and CBSE
Exam preparation
The TEF and TCF courses are built around the test rather than around general French.
Teaching follows the exam format and covers all four skills as they appear in it: listening, reading, writing and speaking.
For anyone working towards Canadian PR, that structure keeps the preparation focused on what is actually scored.
What makes it different
The tutors are FLE certified, meaning they are trained to teach French as a foreign language, not simply fluent in it.
Classes run in small batches. That gives tutors room to correct pronunciation and grammar in the lesson itself, per student.
Student results
The school points to its exam outcomes rather than to enrolment numbers. A few they cite:
- Radhey Patel joined the TCF prep batch in January and scored B2 within months
- Amey Deshmukh went from A1 and A2 to DELF B1 in ten months
- Aditi Kathuria and Rashmi Poonia both passed DELF B1, Rashmi in three months
- Rida Virani moved from A1 to B2 and passed TCF on the first attempt
- On staff, Vibha Goyal holds DALF C1
La Forêt also runs English test preparation, including IELTS and PTE, for students sitting more than one language exam.
