AFP S3E10 – Richard Benton: Positive impact of learning pt. 2

Richard Benton is back for part 2! In this episode we continue to talk about using language learning as a force of good and also the Polyglot Conference(s).

Richard Benton

I’m really happy to have connected with Richard in New York where I also had the opportunity to watch his talk on community language learning. It’s a topic that isn’t widely discussed but I truly believe in the value of the message.

Richard is an incredibly interesting and knowledgeable person who I could listen to for hours. In fact, the conversation was so interesting I had to split the interview into two parts. You’re getting the first part here and the second part next week.

Thanks!

Ask me anything!

I often get asked various questions, so I thought it would be good to start sharing some of the answers with the rest of the world. If you have a question about anything (really!) then fire away. Do notice that I’m not a bonafied expert language learner or polyglot. I’m just trying to do my best as the terrible student I am.

I’d be happy to answer any questions on language learning based on the experience I have from interviewing tons of people, who are way more talented than I am. You can ask your question using this link: Ask Kris a question

Listen to the first part from last week

Since this is part 2, I highly recommend you listening to the first part published last week:

  • Very interesting episode, I’m looking forward to 2nd part.

Just to let you know, I really enjoy these long in-depth in interviews and I don’t mind listening for hours or continuing on the next bus ride 🙂

  • Israel Lai

Why did he get to live with all those French and Ukrainians! Thanks to all this systematic accommodation, I ended up literally locking myself in a room 🙁 so jealous…
