AFP S2E10 – Fabrício Carraro: Learner Profiles 1

First episode of Learner Profiles! This a new concept for the podcast where I aim to simply showcase language learners, their backgrounds and how they study languages. On this week I got Fabrício from Brazil who shares an interesting story about how he met his wife through languages.

Learner Profiles – new concept!

During the last 50 episodes I’ve always been interested in talking to people about their language learning history and experiences. On many episodes I had the time to do so, but there were also tons of episodes where we discussed other things and just quickly glossed over how they became polyglots, how they learn (and learned) languages, their favourite methods and so on and so forth.

So instead of doubling the runtime of each episode, I’ll be featuring language learners under this “Learner Profiles” tag, and if there’s then a specific theme to discuss with them, like with Chuck when we were talking about Duolingo then I will do that in a separate episode released the week after.
