AFP 53 – Anthony Metivier: Memory Palaces

Memory expert Anthony Metivier comes on the show to answer all my dumb questions about memory palaces and shares an exclusive bonus with the AFP audience.

Anthony Metivier

Today I'm happy to welcome Anthony Metivier from Magnetic Memory Method. Anthony has become an incredible expert in the field of memory and memory palaces, and exactly the topic of memory places has been interesting me for a long time now, so I decided to invite him on the podcast to answer my very basic questions about them. Questions that I imagine you might be having out there in the world.

Anthony is also a podcast at the magnetic memory method and has interviewed some amazing people, including a few familiar polyglots such as Luca Lampariello, Olly Richards, Timothy Moser and many more interesting guests. You can find the link in the resources below:

Thank you for doing this interview. I had heard of this technique before, and it had always seemed too hard. I have been using Memrise a lot recently, and I really like the SRS method, but as I move forward I am having more and more trouble retaining new words. I like the idea of combining these two methods, but I am not sure how best to do so. I am unclear as to how I should keep adding new vocabulary to my palace.
